Meet the Staff of
Ashton Animal Clinic

Dr.
Bill McEniry
|
|
|
Dr. Bill
McEniry has been in practice
for over 50 years, and has
been at Ashton Animal Clinic
for nearly that long. He
attended College and completed
his veterinary degree at
Iowa State University. He
is a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association
(AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary
Medical Association (ISVMA),
Iowa Veterinary Medical
Association (IVMA), and
Northern Illinois Veterinary
Medical Association (NIVMA).
He has served in several
leadership positions in
all of the above organizations,
and currently serves as
the Chair for the Professional
Liability Insurance Trust
(PLIT) through the AVMA.
He is also active in his
church and community.
Dr. McEniry
serves all animal species,
and especially enjoys bovine
preventative medicine and
parasitology.

Dr.
Lynda Gould
|
|
|
Dr. Lynda
Gould, a northern Illinois
native, received her veterinary
degree from the University
of Illinois in 2009. She
also completed her undergraduate
degree at the University
of Illinois, graduating
with her name on the Bronze
Tablet in 2005. She is a
member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association (AVMA),
Illinois State Veterinary
Medical Association (ISVMA),
and American Association
of Bovine Practitioners
(AABP). She is active in
her church and has been
identified as an Emerging
Leader by the Northern Illinois
Veterinary Medical Association
(NIVMA).
Dr. Gould
enjoys caring for all animal
species, but her special
interests include reproductive
services in cattle and dogs,
ophthalmology, and swine
medicine.

Dr.
Megan Bauer
|
|
|
Dr. Megan
Bauer grew up on a grain
and livestock farm in Mazon,
Illinois. Throughout her
childhood she enjoyed showing
purebred cattle and swine
in 4-H and FFA. She attended
Black Hawk East Community
College to participate on
their livestock judging
team before transferring
to Western Illinois University
to complete her Bachelor's
Degree in Animal Science.
She graduated with honors
from the College of Veterinary
Medicine at the University
of Illinois in 2011. She
is a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association
(AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary
Medical Association (SVMA),
and the American Association
of Bovine Practitioners
(AABP).
Dr. Bauer
has a compassion for all
creatures, but particularly
enjoys working with swine
and beef cattle. Additionally,
Megan enjoys helping 4-H
and FFA students with their
agriculture projects. She
also has an interest in
toxicology after doing a
summer internship at the
Animal Poison Control Center.
Dr. Bauer
spends her spare time with
her husband, Dustin, working
on her family's farm. Her
hobbies include reading,
fishing, photography and
spending time outdoors.

Mallory
Streit
|
|
|
Mallory Streit joined the
staff at AAC in May 2011.
She earned her degree in
Veterinary Technology at
Rockford Career College
in 2009. She enjoys working
with small and large animals.
Mallory enjoys her position
because it gives her the
chance to educate clients
on pet car and nutrition.

Amy
Lauer
|
|
|
Amy Lauer has been a technician
at Ashton Animal Clinic
for two years, and has several
years of experience in canine
breeding and showing. She
owns several breeding dogs
of her own, as well as several
horses. Amy enjoys working
at AVC because if offers
her the chance to help educate
owners on pet care.

Hazel
Lovgren
|
|
|
Hazel Lovgren joined the
staff at AAC in 2010. She
is a receptionist and bookkeeper.
She was raised on a livestock
farm and still enjoys working
with all types of animals,
big and small. Hazel enjoys
her position because she
likes working with people
and learning about different
ways to help the "four-legged"
friends feel better.
