Dr. Roth, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Gould, Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Roth grew up on a diversified farm in central Michigan where her family raised and exhibited Red Angus cattle, Suffolk sheep, market steers, hogs, and lambs. She attended Michigan State University for a Bachelors in Animal Science; in addition, she worked at the Purebred Beef Teaching Unit, and was very active in Block and Bridle and Sigma Alpha. Dr. Roth received her veterinary education at Iowa State University where she focused on cow/calf production, small ruminant and camelid medicine, dermatology and reproduction. Her interests include food animal medicine, surgery, and reproduction along with small animal reproduction and dermatology. In her spare time Dr. Roth enjoys reading, cooking, going for hikes, and being an active 4-H leader.
Erica, Veterinary Technician
Erica is a veterinary technician and started working at Ashton Animal Clinic in 2012 and earned her degree in Veterinary Technology at Rockford Career College. Erica is familiar with a variety of animals and enjoys trail rides with her horse.
Austin, Office Manager
Dr. Gould, a northern Illinois native, received her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois in 2009. She also completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, graduating with her name on the Bronze Tablet in 2005. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), and American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP). She is active in her church and has been identified as an Emerging Leader by the Northern Illinois Veterinary Medical Association (NIVMA). Dr. Gould serves her community as a board member in the Village of Creston.
Dr. Gould enjoys caring for all animal species, and her special interests include reproductive services in cattle and dogs, ophthalmology, and swine medicine.
Mallory, Veterinary Technician
Mallory joined the staff at Ashton Animal Clinic in May 2011. She earned her degree in Veterinary Technology at Rockford Career College in 2009. She enjoys working with small and large animals. Mallory enjoys her position as a veterinary technician because it gives her the chance to educate clients on pet care and nutrition.
Dr. Sperfslage, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sperfslage grew up in Betendorf, IA where she spent most of her childhood riding and showing horses in 4-H. Dr. Sperfslage enjoys both small and large animals but her main areas of veterinary interest include bovine medicine and equine medicine and lameness. In her spare time Dr. Sperfslage enjoys riding her horse, Badger and spending time with her husband Shawn and their Chocolate Labrador, Axel.
Amy, Veterinary Technician
Amy is a veterinary technician at Ashton Animal Clinic and has multiple years of experience in canine breeding and showing. She owns several breeding dogs of her own, as well as several horses. Amy enjoys working at Ashton Animal Clinic because it offers her the chance to help educate owners on pet care. Amy has been with the Ashton Animal Clinic since 2008.
Ashley is an experienced groomer and animal handler. Her personal pets include three dogs, one horse, and a donkey. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences.
Austin is the office manager at Ashton Animal Clinic. Austin is a member of the Ashton Fire Department and enjoys hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors.
